FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Obie Trice And MoSS Form New Dynamic Duo & Team Up For Special Reserve LP
SPECIAL RESERVE TO BE RELEASED ON 12-15-09
Returning with his first LP since his departure from Shady Records (where he was one of the label’s top selling artists), Obie Trice readies a new street LP, Special Reserve, which finds him collaborating solely with rising producer MoSS.
With a very strong fanbase, a strong presence on commercial radio and having sold in excess of 1.5 million albums to date (including the certified Platinum Cheers), Special Reserve is a departure from Obie’s typical sound, as a wide range of gritty audio mosaics are provided by MoSS, as he continues to not only raise his profile, but the bar he’s set from his previous work with Raekwon, Ghostface, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, AZ, Sean Price, Slum Village, Havoc, Kool G Rap, KRS-One/Buckshot etc. MoSS is also the first producer signed to the legendary DJ Premier’s “Works of Mart” production company.
Obie Trice's Special Reserve will be released on 12-15-09.

“MEET MoSS" feat. DJ PREMIER, TERMANOLOGY & STATIK S
The game loves beef, and today they’ll be eating like a night at at the steakhouse. Today Beanie Sigel, longtime Roc-a-Fella representer and Jay-Z compatriot, released a diss track called “What You Talkin Bout (Average Cat)” that in no uncertain terms calls out Hova for a long list of perceived transgressions. In other words, I think it’s safe to say their friendship is over.
Quick background: Assuming this evolves into a full-fledged beef, in two months we’ll have completely forgotten how it all started, so let’s take a minute to review the roots of the rift between Beanie and Hova. Long story short, Beanie blames the low sales of his last album “The Solution” was because Jay-Z’s former label Def Jam failed to properly promote it. Further complicating things matters, Beanie’s none to happy that Jay didn’t visit him in jail or allegedly allow him to be released from his Roc-a-Fella contract.
Or as Beanie says/yells at the end of the track: “I think I held my tongue long enough about this whole Roc-a-Fella situation. I was the realest thing that happened to the Roc. The Roc was just a rock. I brought the fellas to Roc-a-Fella records. State Property, y’all remember. I brought street cred to that…I fought all them battles. Me, that’s who.”
Because I find there’s no situation in life that isn’t applicable to “The Wire”, let me break down the situation like this. Jay is Stringer Bell, the intelligent, careful businessman who runs the entire network, and Beanie is Bodie, the guy who’s actually on the corner, taking bullets and returning fire. While it’s absolutely true that without guys like Beanie/Bodie the operation couldn’t run, the truth is that there are always more Beanie/Bodies out there, but the Jay-Z/Stringer leader, that guy only comes along once in a generation, and without him there wouldn’t be a business in the first place.
Man, “The Wire” explains everything. Now the inevitable wait for a Jay-Z response begins. Enjoy

The year was 1995 and the hip hop smash single "Danger" as performed by the renowned MC/DJ team Blahzay Blahzay, (Blahz the MC and Pf Cuttin the DJ) dominated the airwaves and the national nightclub scene. This was Hip Hop's Golden Year. It was the year you were allowed to prosper and establish pure individuality. It was en vogue to be an individual amidst Hip Hop's many flavors. Hip-hop fans worldwide still remember when the walls of the local dance club would tremble from the chant, "When the East is in the House, Oh My God!"
With a bombshell explosion on to the Hip Hop scene and a runaway hit, Blazhay Blazhay found themselves holding down the 1 Rap Single on the Billboard Charts further fueling the controversial "East vs. West" hip-hop "battle."
Several years later after enjoying their well-deserved success the duo decided to part company due to irreconcilable artistic differences. Brooklyn-bred MC/Producer, Blahz continued to perform and record his beloved street epics independently. He reveals, "Growing up in Brooklyn ( East New York ) had a major influence on my musical direction." He continues, "The melting pot of sounds and people- Caribbean, Latin, American- gives me the inspiration to reach the vibrant hip-hop community."
In 2000, Blahz continued to prove his lyrical prowess under the watchful eye of Paul Rosenberg, who currently manages the career of Eminem. Blahz continued to perfect his craft and in time began to display a promising entrepreneurial spirit. Under the Game recording label, he released "Federal Reserve Note" and gained more exposure on the internationally distributed "Hip Hop Honey's" DVD series.
Blahz also formed his own promotion and music production company, 25/8 Entertainment and aiding in the development of local Brooklyn talent. He says proudly, "I'm the mayor of Brooklyn." He adds. "I got my hands in everything." With the recent flood of street mix-tape/ radio appearances and, television appearances such as BET 106th & Park, MTV Hip Hop Drama and MTV News, Blahz is getting the attention due a hip-hop luminary. He has also recorded songs with the likes of the late Ol' Dirty Bastard (released on ODB's "Osirus") and collaborated with Sizzla, the renowned reggae artist, on the song "Girls, Girls, Girls".

About Termanology:
Term was raised in the post-industrial, predominantly Latino city of Lawrence, MA. The half-white, half-Puerto Rican MC transitioned from silly freestyles at age nine to full-fledged records by 15. Constantly traveling between Boston and New York in pursuit of his dream, Termanology released his first 12-inch in 2002. Through his alliance with influential mixtape DJ (and fellow Massachusetts native) Statik Selektah, Term began earning the respect of Boston's Hip-Hop scene with several highly acclaimed 12" singles. At the onset of 2006, Term’s big break came when DJ Premier blessed him with one of his signature, scratch-laden beats. "Watch How It Go Down" instantly became an underground classic and Termanology appeared on Hip-Hop's international radar. The conscious hood anthem garnered the earnest MC tons of praise, landing him in The Source's "Unsigned Hype" and XXL's "Show and Prove" columns. On September 30 2008, he released his debut album, Politics As Usual, to critical acclaim.

Every facet of Supreme’s music has something original to communicate to the listener. Ponder the beat-building and the melody constructs – all the instrumental DJ elements that contribute to Supreme’s hooks. Consider the crisp lyricism, lean muscle that wastes no words in forming the smart sidewalk poetry, every syllable punctuating just the right rhythm, striking just the right meaning. Hear Supreme’s dead-on delivery, the cataclysmic cadence of those words, tattooing a gripping groove complemented perfectly by back-up of the beats. Beyond even the verbal and musical construct itself are the solid ideas, the wellspring of creativity from which everything that is Supreme finds voice. Current stars ought to look out below as this skyrocketing up-and-comer blasts through the industry hierarchy. Ground zero may be the underground but the fire is a mushroom cloud heating up the stratosphere. Just as Supreme’s distinctiveness spreads across all aspects of his music, so his music addresses every angle of the listening experience. Not only is the pure instinctive meat there, the viscera that shakes the body, driving feet into the punished-by-pounding club floor, but there is also the brilliance and thoughtfulness that drives the pulse of Supreme’s music. The physical, mental and spiritual are a unified whole and Supreme’s well-rounded hip-hop confronts that reality. “My philosophy is to give the masses raw, adrenaline-driven, intelligent street music,” Supreme declares. Supreme’s indie world creds have already grabbed attention, thanks to scorching appearances on such releases as the recent Heltah Skeltah LP “D.I.R.T.” (Duckdown Records) and the “Bucktown LP” – which features legendary Brooklyn MCs like Steele of Smif-N-Wessun, Rock & Ruck of Heltah Skeltah, Ug from The Cellar Dwellars, Blahzay Blahzay, Shabaam Shadiq and Smooth The Hustlah (just to name a few). He is also involved in the Bucktown Project. Supreme will be jack hammering the streets with a hot-as-hell EP due out in Spring 2009 as well as banging out The “Representativz” project, a collaboration between Supreme and his counterpart Lidu Rock a.k.a. Rock Redd. Supreme’s pathway to the top is further bolstered by his recent team-up with A&R Select, the premier A&R firm based out of Los Angeles, CA. All this effort and energy boils down to one pressing goal: The music. “Music is my life,” says Supreme. “I put my heart and soul and dedicate every aspect of my being to writing, producing, recording and performing music.”

- BIO
-
- Born into poverty to a single mother in Jamaica, Dwayne Whyte and his family moved to the Bronx, NY at the tender age of two in search of a better life. With no father figure in his household, Dwayne witnessed his mother manage working excessive hours at multiple jobs to provide for his family. In 1994, Dwayne and his mother moved to Baltimore, MD. He found the mean streets at an early age, and became consumed by the life. While his mother worked at night, he was roaming the street corners selling drugs and hustling anything he could get his hands on. Once Dwayne's mother became aware of his new found hobby, she decided to move her family back to the Bronx to keep him from the Baltimore street life.
-
-
-
- Turbulence
-
- While back in the Bronx, Dwayne became even more drawn to the streets; this is where he found rap. What started out as free-styling for fun would eventually become the ground work for the artist now known as Graffix. Although his talents were unmistakable, Graffix did not take his craft seriously at first. In fact, Graffix did not start writing rhymes until his then favorite artist, 2pac was killed. He felt that the hip hop scene was becoming too much of a cliché with gimmick songs being mistaken for real hip hop masterpieces. At this point Graffix knew exactly what he wanted to do with his talent. Unluckily for him, he faced another obstacle in life. Graffix and his family became homeless and were forced to move from shelter to shelter in New York City.
-
-
- At the age of eighteen, Graffix moved back to Baltimore on his own, to begin a new life. He started working a regular 9 to 5 job and also began making music. While Graffix juggled with work and rap, he still remained drawn to the streets. As a result, he was arrested numerous times, although he managed to escape long term imprisonment. Around the same period Graffix was introduced to Sluggerz Entertainment, LLC by a close friend. He was asked to audition on the spot. After he finished spitting some of his verses and freestyles, he was offered a contract the same day.
-
- The Crash
-
- With a glimpse of musical success Graffix took to the streets to celebrate with friends. Unfortunately, he was at the wrong place at the wrong time when police made a bust at his hangout spot. Due to his previous troubles with the law, he was sentenced to 18 month at the Baltimore County Detention Center. During his stay at the jail, Graffix had a revelation to turn his life around. He remained productive by attending classes, writing rhymes and songs, and doing anything positive to take his mind off his confinement.
-
- The Awakening
-
-
-
- Having learned the harsh reality of having his freedom taken away, Graffix is now ready for the world to witness his impeccable talent. As noted by Al Shipley of the Baltimore City Paper, “Graffix’s material is competent and we find ourselves nodding to his beat. He is also an engaging and quick-witted performer.” To sum up this prolific artist's life long struggles, Graffix simply said "I fell in a deep gutter, and was not able to climb up until I touched the bottom,” referring to his incarceration. “And now, every positive step I take will only help me climb out of the gutter.”
-
- On the Grind
-
- When he’s not blazing the stage at local Baltimore clubs like The Ottobar, The Black Hole, Bedrock, or The 5 Seasons, Graffix is always writing, recording in the studio, and listening to new music. “I am a big music fan,” he says. “I like good music. I enjoy hearing an artist spit something hot to motivate me to come up with something hotter.” Graffix is gearing up for his upcoming mixtape “Slugfest Episode 2,” followed by a video for a single to be released early 2009.

Who Is Protegee?
Nicole White, known to the music world as Protégée, is a multi-dimensional artist with superstar potential and a Music Heritage Award winner for best new artist. In November of 2004, Protégée released a maxi single for her popular song "Still Gutta" (produced by super producer Syience). The release of this single gained her great attention in popular hip-hop magazines and websites all around the world. In May of 2005, Protégée contributed two songs for the highly praised underground classic: "X Chromosome All Female Mixtape" which was distributed by Baltimore based label "X9 Records" and went on to sell over 21,000 units in its' first week of release. Other triumphs include performing to sold out crowds at Myth Night Club, Spirell Bar, First Avenue, and 7th Street Entry, opening for hip-hop heavyweights: Twista, Shawnna, and Webbie, as well as performing live theatrical monologues on stage with: Vivica A. Foxx, Tracee Ellis Ross, Claudia Jordan, and India Arie at The Gathering LIVE. 2007 also shaped up to be another year of great accomplishments totaling over 9,787 download sales of her music and later hooking up with Artist Manager "Leonard E. Croft" of Nu Breed Management (NY/NJ). In the near future Protégée will be recording again with super producer "Syience" (production credits: Jay-Z, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Neyo, Danity Kane, and Ghostface Killah) and songwriter/producer Marc "M2E" Ellus (production credits: Destiny's Child and Heather Headley) as well as currently recording new projects at KDS Studios in Orlando, FL with manager Tony Wilkins and KDS Music Artist "Bedo".
